Adidas ClimaCool

My feet get really hot running so these were a perfect solution for me. They really do feel like you're just wearing breathable socks. Lightweight, but provide plenty of comfort for your feet as well.

If you're trying to figure out what kind of running shoes to get for yourself, go to a running store and have them watch the way you walk/run and fit you into shoes. Hackker suggested this to me when I first started running and it turned out to be a great idea.

What works for others won't necessarily work for you.

I tried on about 6 pairs and ended up with my Saucony's for only $100. I was surprised and happy that they didn't try to put me into $150-$200 shoes, I almost expected it.

Asics Gel Nimbus 12. Bought 6 pair last fall when they cclearanced them out for the 13s. Half price shows FTW.

I need to replace my old ass Nike's. Got ton's of miles on them and they are prob 2 years old.

Although shoes vary depending on your run style, any that are "better" for hard surface/concrete/pavement running?

Adidas Climacool are amazing.

These are pretty good too. Only reason I bought these? They were half price at foot locker. 49.99.

They are pretty light and require only about 20 mins of break in.

5.0 is more of a stability shoe for better lateral transitions. It's a crosstrainer. 3.0 would be more of a neutral ride shoe. More like barefoot running.

Rotating through these right now:

Zoot Ultra TT 5.0
-Seamless, sock-like inners=ZERO blisters.
-Water wicking like, WOAH.
-Very light weight, long distance trainer/racer.
-Good cushioning, decent support.
-Some features are designed more for the triathlete crowd like the quick entry design, but it's really a good all around shoe.

Zoot Ultra Kalani
-Very similar shoe to the TTs but geared more towards straight up running as opposed to triathlon specific.
-Slightly more cushioning and support than the TTs
-Also slightly heavier
-I did Ironman Arizona and the Chicago Marathon in these and they were perfect. I ran sockless and had not a single hotspot or blister.

K-Swiss Blade Light Race
-Great short distance (5K-10K) shoe
-Race day only shoe, not a great trainer because it is not so durable.
-Extremely good cushioning.
-Gossamer uppers so thin that you can feel the breeze on your toes as you run. It almost feels like you're not wearing any shoes at all.
-Lacking in the lateral support department. Don't use these on a technical course with lots of turns.

Yep, it's a barefoot running shoe and along with my running style, I found that it's the best choice for me.

More on this:

http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/stor...erent-strokes/

http://www.barefootrunning.fas.harva...odernShoe.html

This is why the NB minimus is one of the best barefoot running shoe out there.
