The article didn't say if the officer who stopped them worked on the same department they did, but seeing as how she didn't get out of her car running after the driver, I'm assuming she did. Also, Clermont is a very small PD. If these two worked for Clermont and the officer who stopped them worked for Lake Co. S.O., it's very likely they still would have recognized each other.
More than likely, a supervisor was randomly reviewing the DVD's submitted from the dash cameras and either stumbled upon this by chance, or the officers, having a laugh about it, told other cops and it got back to the bosses that way. |
