Are 8.8" housings all the same from Fox to New edge?

Is it just the axles that got wider? Housing & tubes are still same length right??

94-98 axle tubes are same length as Fox, only the axles themselves are longer than 93 down

When I bought my 8.8 I had to get one from a 99-04 for it to be the right length
