Is there a difference in these 2 coils?
I do not have the msd 6al plugged in at this time just to point out and this is an update on the problem I had with my tip on my old msd coil. Here is what I emailed the msd tech and just copied and posting here:
I recieved the coil from you guys the other day but I noticed it was different than what I have so I googled the part numbers and noticed they have two styles of the 8227. The one that I had on my car, said " MSD Igintion 8227 TFI Blaster Coil" and the one that I recieved, which had a different base and said " MSD 8227 TFI Blaster Coil for Ford" . I put it on and it seemed my car drove different. I could tell the difference from when I fixed the problem with the other coil, ( or made it to where the wire was secured on the tip). The wire is secured on the new coil's tip, I heard it snap and everything. I'm wondering if indeed from one coil being an Ignition tfi blaster and the other being just a tfi blaster if indeed there is a difference in the coil and I need to have the one like I took off?
