Timing Chain install questions

What kind of chain should i get, not get? Street car only, not a race car. I know I will need a timing cover gasket and the corner oil pan gaskets as well as the lower tc seal and I will just go ahead and chain the front main seal on the tc. Is it cheaper to just buy a kit, or individually or what?

I have seen some installation instructions and seen where they used cork gaskets for the corners as I'm guessing thats what comes in the kit. Are corks fine for that, can you get better gaskets for the corners? The oil will need to be drained?

Is it a must getting to top dead center for ease of installing the gear and should TDC be gotten before the pulleys and stuff are off? Any other tidbits I need to know?

Oh forgot, as for the front main seal, would I need a mallet instead of a hammer, rubber mallet? I saw a vid where a guy used a big socket looking thing to finish getting the new seal flush.

Don't get a chain for a 94/95. Ford used a different style chain that was designed to be quieter and it is not as strong, get one for an 87-93 Fox.

I bought a Melling double roller from Pep Boys for $12, seriously. I think it is priced wrong but my buddy in Oklahoma just bought one and it was $12 also

Just point the dots on the crank and cam towards each other, and you're good and just get fel-pro gaskets from Autozone etc.

Just take the old one off and intall the new one, no need to worry about dots... the engine will sort itself out.

Should I spend 73 bucks after taxes on a ford racing timing chain set or just go to pep boys , autozone, or napa and get a good double roller for maybe 45 bucks at the most?

non race car, nice street weekend driver
