Weight training gurus, hows your view on Creatine?
Right now the only supplements I take is Muscle Milk (protein), and a assortment of vitamins, Q10 and flax seed oil and of course a good diet. I have always heard mixed views on Creatine and figure I get some input here. My friend started supplementing with Amped from Metrx and has seen great results, I am fine with most of the stuff that is in Amped, except for the amount of Caffeine (but not a big deal), but also it contains a good amount of creatine. I have heard with creatine it can give you minor symptoms like cramping, gas, pissing alot, diaherra, etc but the verdict is still out if it effects organs like the kidneys. Also the neccessity of drinking water on creatine, I try to drink ATLEAST a gallon, I will drink more while on creatine. So hows you view? have you expirenced any other symptoms? are you worried about the possibility of long term effects? any other good sources/articles on creatine that are not biased you are aware of?

I liked it... Just be sure to get a kind that's micronized... So it mixes well.
I haven't used it in a while, but while I was taking it, my muscles seemed to be able to FINISH sets that I wasn't able to before. I also felt ready to lift all the time... Like my muscles were begging me to hit the weights. You have to drink a LOT of water, that's how it works... So yeah, you'd be pissing constantly.

they say creatine gives you strength. but after doing steriods it really has no effect on strength at all or at least i can tell. the weight you put on is water. yes you might look a little bigger but do you want to be puffy or fit looking? as far as side effect never did anything to me and i didnt drink a gallon of water a day. i think the whole gallon of water is bs. unless your on some sort of aas 17-alaka type steroid aka fina dbol... etc
on another note certain magazines state that it restores your atp which is good because that help aiding in repairing of muscles. but those certian magazines also stated that lifting weights burns more calories than cardio in the early 1990s. i really would waste my money. if you do get the chepo kind not the overpriced cell mass. and take it after you get done working out with a protein drink (muscle milk) |
