i've heard of them working. of course the people were older and more mature, set on having a monogamous relationship, and flew out/drove out to see each other frequently.

He was working a crappy job 12noon to 11pm which was located about mid-point from our houses, he stayed with me about 5 nights a week. During the weekends most of the time I would drive up to stay with him. We were together 4 months that way. Then we moved in together, about an hour away from where I was from and 45 minutes from where he was from.
