This isn't news... EB Games said I'd have a second unit by christmas.

I returned the first one after the E-bay flop. I'll probably keep the 2nd

I doubt prices will go back up to anything worth while. Sony is making weekly shipments and still plans to ship over 1 million units to the US by Christmas and 2.2 million world wide. by Dec 31st

no doubt they wont get anywhere near the 3000+ they were going for on release day. which is why im so pissed at gamestop. i lost a lot of money because of them. but im hoping that they can get back up to 1500. right now they are going for around 1000 which is roughly 300 profit at best after fees.

The way I see it even if you make a few hundred bucks its worth it. I just sold mine for about $350 worth of profit... I preordered it in 15mins, picked it up in 10 mins... Obviously, people that camped for 4 days are getting pwned now on eBay

So let me get this straight, you returned it for what you paid because you weren't going to make the profit you thought you would? That was guaranteed profit, at least $300, why would you return it, I call

Nope, that's pretty much what I did... I wasn't going to be that greedy. I personally don't care. If I were to sell it on E-bay for $1500, it would've been worth it. But even locally, there were a bunch for sale at $1000 or less. If I were to sell it on E-bay, I'd hardly be making anything with the fees, shipping, and the potential for getting scammed. It wasn't worth it to me to make a couple hundred with the risk of losing $700+ to a scammer.

I don't really see why it's so hard to understand It went back to EB games and was probably given to the next geek in line to do whatever they wish with it. I felt much better just doing that than being some sleezeball and reselling it for a c-note or so.

It really just wasn't worth my time, effort, or risk of being robbed by a nigerian scammer.

Dude, you could have walked outside your house in the middle of the street and held it up and just yelled "$800 right now and this PS3 is yours" and would have sold it in 5 min.
Joo crazy man...
