Has anyone seen this? What do you think of a moding your car this much? Has anyone here done it?

Why I wouldn't want it:

1) cost
2) weakens the structural integrity of the car (at least it couldn’t help), which is possibly the best thing about the 05+
3) It's got to increase the chance of rattles
4) and increase wind noise
5) it's already too freakin hot around here as it is. Even if they block UV, they can't block all the heat.
6) way more likely to leak than a factory roof
7) irreversible mods usually makes it harder for find a buyer when you want to sell
8) how long are you going to have to drive around with a broken roof until the glass shop can get a replacement if you ever break it? People who have had a window broken on their DD know how important it to get it fixed quick.
9) if you ever break the glass, you better hope the company is still making them so you can replace it. If you've ever tried to replace an aftermarket sunroof after the company went out of biz, you'll understand that one. But at least with a sunroof, you can always cut the hole slightly bigger and put a different one in. With that thing you'd be SOL if it broke after they stopped making them b/c having a custom peice of glass made up at that time would cost a fortune.

Why I would want it:
I can't think of any reasons at this time

I have to figure it would add much unwanted weight to the car as well. (unless it's made of the same stuff modern Vette tops are made of which I doubt).

Oh and BTW, the local dealer has one and it looks ok at best. Something about it I don't like. Plus you can hardly tell just driving by anyway.

there was a local auto show this past weekend and the VP of the mustang club has this installed. it looks ok. he said it added an additional 50lbs to the car. maybe tommorrow night @ the monthly meeting for the club i can take some pictures of it if he drives that car.
