A bootloader that will boot the wii but without all of its securit features most likely. Once he was running the wii off the memory card he was able to play the burned copy of Zelda.

so everyone can get a copy of that boot loader on a memory card and then they will be able to play burned games.

Okay cool. So basically the hack enables you to play burned games. Thats pimp. Hit the Block Buster and rent what you want and make a few"backups"

I guess til someone else figures it out, he will make a MINT selling those bootloader memory cards

yup this is sorta like what people did with the ps1 or ps2, now with wii being wireless unless wii asks you before for an update if you want to install you are ok, but if it does em on its own they will patch it

cool nonetheless

will be like the PSP with emulation. Once hacked, it will always be crackable.

Right now my PSP still has the 1.5 firmware so I can play the old school EMU's, but I can also emulate the latest firmware to download and play the latest PSP games. Devhook 0.51 FTW

The Wii is screwed. Now that someone made a loader there will always be a way around it. IF nintendo actually tries to patch it you swear it's gonnabe %100. I figure it'll be the same as the PSP. There will be a wii loader that can do the emulate the new firmware while your retain your old one. Once cracked there's always a way.
