Shot a bunch of deer today

Not that kind of shooting. There is a huge Civil War battlefield close to where I live and there are tons of deer there. Prob saw ~50 of them in an hour. Beautiful place.

Both images- 30D, 300/4L, ISO 1600, no pp noise reduction

with 2x extender manual focus f/11 1/1600

f/4 1/640

300mm lens X 2x teleconverter X 1.6x crop = 960mm equiv

most of the time I was out there everything was in the shade. I kept switching between the 2x and a couple other lenses so when it got to f/8 that was the only place to go. So, most of the pics are at 1600, the others 1000-1250.
