Designed our wedding bands yesterday... FTL

Just shelled out a bunch for the engagement ring, yesterday we went to design the wedding bands...

I got the impression the woman was paying for the wedding bands, so I let her go crazy... Diamonds all up on top of the ring, matching 5-pointed star diamonds (3 to be exact), 4 round diamonds, 2 princess cut, custom designed... $1800

My ring, 2-tone white gold with some etching down the sides and one 5-pointed star diamond $700, fine...

They ask if it is what she wanted, she asked me... I said, that if she wants it, she can do whatever she wants (thinking she was paying for it anyway). I told her to at least sleep on it so we could talk about it.... She proceeds with "Yeah, let's do it"

Me ---->

I didn't even talk to her the rest of the afternoon, I was so pissed... I went to my buddies for a superbowl party, came back to talk to her about it... And I said, "How are you going to afford an $1800 ring? You are NOT putting that on your credit card."

She says... "Who said I was paying for it?"

Me ---->

There is no way in fvcking hell that I'm paying that much for a wedding band after how much I spent on the engagement ring and what I'm personally pitching in for the wedding. She said she'll pay for my ring (all of $700 of it ). If that's the case, I'm only paying $700 for her wedding band

She's going to have more money on her finger, than I have in my fvcking mustang
Cliffs: Fiance wants/designs expensive ring and expects me to pay for it.

Oh, and IB4 beanbat telling me to dump the b!tch.

Well, it's not really two toned... It's polished and brushed. Not white/yellow gold.

my wife at least had a sense of reality when we went wedding ring shopping.
$750 for hers, $500 for mine.

We have better things to spend our money on... Like a HOUSE.

Your woman > mine.

Apparently mine doesn't get it... She will after tonight. I'm building ammo and bringing it in full force.

My band was $99 - Titanium FTW

Hers of course was alot more, but it's supposed to be as it matches the engagement ring and has actual diamonds and such...

Quoted for truth.

If she's only interested in it for the status value... At least make it a status symbol that we can BOTH use, like a nice house, car, or something for our current house.

I don't mind her getting the ring, but I'm not going to pay for all of it just because she wants to show it to her friends and family. That makes zero sense to me. And there's NO way she's putting it on a credit card, because after the wedding, it becomes MY credit card as well. I have my own debt, but it's easily managed with my income and lifestyle.
