Miller issues bet.

What Kind Of Bet Would The Pink Taco Make?

When mayors make their yearly dopey bets on certain sports series -- "If the Colts win, you'll give us your deep dish pizza, and if your Bears win, we'll give you some dreary dead-end manufacturing jobs!" -- it's silly, but kind of cute, in a "white people in suits trading beans" type of way. But when these bets are among corporate sponsors and remind us of just how synergistic everything is, it makes us nervous.

For example, this NASCAR bet from Miller beer.

On Friday morning, Miller sent out a news release challenging Budweiser to a NASCAR bet. As part of the bet, Miller is putting its naming rights to Miller Park on the line. The challenge would pit the #2 Miller Lite car against the #8 Budweiser car, with the season-long NASCAR points leader winning the bet.



According to the challenge, if the Miller Lite car finishes ahead of the Budweiser car, Busch Stadium (home of the St. Louis Cardinals) will be renamed Miller Lite stadium for a to-be-determined 2008 series in St. Louis between the Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Budweiser people have yet to respond to the "challenge." Remember when the Astros did this a few years ago, and by "winning" the bet at Enron Field they stole the retirement funds and hopes and dreams from a high percentage of their fans? Hilarious! These bets are great.

Beast light isn't bad though, anything except Miller Lite here..I don't know why I dislike it so much but I just do..Truthfully I like Natty more than Bud Light too
