The bad thing about this study is this only takes into account the chiros that are still in practice and not even the ones that failed. And this probably includes being an associate in some other doc's practice which sucks as far as pay goes. This does seem really low though. I have seen some studies where they break it down by how long you have been in practice etc. This is close to the entry level for being in practice less than 5 years.

The good thing is since you own your own practice and you can make as much as your ambition lies. So you got some docs who have been practicing 20 years and they have made their money and now they are only working a couple of hours per day 3 days per week seeing 30-50 patients per week and you got some docs that are in their first 5-10 years of practice seeing 500-1000 per week. There is a big differnce in income potential...

i dont know how accurate that pay is though... i wouldnt work for 180K as a surgeon

Most surgeons make well over that, especially if they specialize. My friends dad is in orthopedics and makes over 1 mil/year. Of course, he's an exception.

ortho = $$$$$$

95% chance ill be doing IM and even then there is no way id work for less than 180K (not including % of what i bill)
