Remember that lady who is Sueing my parents for $7,500??
Remember the story where some Black lady and my mom bumped into each other about 2 years ago and just now the lady is sueing my parents for $7,500 saying that it's our fault she lost her baby due to medical bills?
Well my parents went to court yesterday and the lady who is sueing my parents was 1 1/2 hours late. She shows up the judge is already pissed... Doesn't have any of her papers .. The judged asked her how come she didn't bring anything and she said because she is in the process of moving and has all her paper work in boxes, plus she had a death in the family so hasn't had time to look for her paperwork. Judge told her that how can a plaintiff not be prepared when they are the ones who filed the claim.. The judge then said that how come she is sueing for $7,500 when there was no damaged caused to the car.. The lady said she is sueing for her medical bills. Judge was like "Medical Bills but nothing happend to you. " OUr insurance sent an agent with us and the lady thought he was our lawyer. so she said she is bringing a lawyer and that's when the judge said she can't bring a lawyer to small claims. So the lady said then she was taking this up to Criminal Court.. At that time the Judge said she can't take this to Criminal Court because she already filed under small claims. The lady became furious and started talking smack to the Judge and said she was going to report her to her Boss and walked out on the judge...  At that time i thought it would all be over but the freekin judge went ahead and filed another court date for April that way that lady can have enough time to get her paperwork together.. THat pissed me off because it's not our fault she wasn't preparred I mean she is sueing us 2 years later and when she submitted the paper work she still had an extra 2 months to get ready...

that sucks, I figured the judge would have closed the case. It seems obvious that they are just probing for some free money.

if that was in TN and the lady did that the judge would throw the case out and probly give ur parents money from her just for being a pain lol

I thought the statute of limitations for medical as a result of an automobile accident was 1yr fom the time of the accident.

kinda like the stupid ***got that sued me for 500,000 b/c him and his wife couldn't have sex anymore and his work was affected and etc..etc..
but he worked more hours after I hit him then he ever has in his 10 years there. settled for 5k |
