Smile Windows / Norton / puter nerds.. gay question..

So I'm trying to install 4dob3 4crob4t 8 on a laptop. Windows XP of course, and this person is running norton protection center..

I've installed the same proggie on 2 other puters with no issues.. This one gets to a point where it stops part way through and says:

cannot find (path)license.html make sure file is present or accessible or some shiat, then you can retry or cancel. I searched and the file indeed is there on the c drive..

Now could it be Norton being gay, or any ideas..? I just got up on these puters last year eh so I don't know much..

I could not figure out how to disable nort-dung and could not think of what else it could be..

That could be anything from norton being a dickfaced prickhole, to a cd rom going out.

Try putting the CD in a diff machine, share the drive, map a drive from the broke machine to the CD and try installing that way.

And of course, must suggest FoxIt as a acrobat alternative

yeah I installed office on the same machine without incident and then installed the adobe on another machine without incident - so I am 99% sure the drive is OK..

Yeah, its just a reader, not a pdf writer tho - not sure which youre installing
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/ Its not bloated and slow like acrobat, just a small quick pdf viewer.

So if the drive seems decent - maybe there was a previous version so the license file thing was conflicting... or.. hmmm. try Killing all the norton services maybe?

Norton cannot be shut off any easier than Chuck Norris can be killed.
