Am I the only one that thought 300 was...

meh. It had cool visuals/cinematography, but that is all it had going for it. The dialogue was boring and didn't really do anything for the movie. After seeing a bunch of people killed, I was done.

Plus I am reminded why I don't like going to the theater. There was this one girl sitting behind me that was laughing, yes, I said LAUGHING at times that made absolutely no sense.

I am too dense to be worried about great character development, dialog, relationships..

burning rubber, naked broads and fighting basically is where its at for me.

it was crap

imagery is cool yea, but beyond that the message was just to grow a bigger dick

plus had they played the movie at 1:1 speed it would have lasted 23 minutes

EDIT: did anyone else crack up when they showed the goat dude?

I'm all for senseless action too. I just prefer more modern-times action than the epic-style films of the late.

Just throw it in, Gladiator was great. It had great dialogue and character development coupled with awesome action. THAT was a movie.

300 was just an excuse to scream "Spartaaaaaaaaaaaaaa", flex their uber l33t muscles and stab thousands of people.

Because Gladiator was a kick-ass film and is a good example of how to make a worthwhile movie

300 was awesome, i loved it.

Analyzing a movie like that is retarded, it was meant to be a bloody fighting movie and thats what it was.

What else would you expect from it?
