What is it with women and their "Men are such babies" complaint?

I got my wisdom teeth taken out on Friday. It wasn't terrible, I just had a bit of blood in my stomach b/c my gums wouldn't heal very quickly, plus percaset (sp?) made me puke a bunch of times on Friday. I hung out Saturday and Sunday and the gf took good care of me, mostly just running errands and getting me food. I told her over and over and over and over how greatful I was and how much I appreciated it. Took the day off from work yesterday (Monday) b/c I really couldn't get my mouth open enough to brush it or eat without drooling all over. No one wants to smell your breath at work or watch you eat that way.

So last night, she asks me how I'm feeling and all I said is "three of my four sockets feel great, but one keeps throbbing". As soon as I'm done, she starts in with "men are such babies, I took care of you all weekend, grow up." I'm like "WTF? All I did was answer your question." Now she's pissed off.

I come into work today and one person asks me how I am. I said, "Just sore on one tooth," and this old chick starts in with "men are such babies, I had 5 hours of dental surgery and I was at work the next day." Fifteen minutes later, another chick says the same thing as soon as the guy who sits next to me asks me how the surgery went........WITHOUT me even replying.

Where does this all come from? Womenz: RELAX. No one is trying to have a pain tolerance contest with you.

5 hours of dental surgery? I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out while I was out and it only took ~45 minutes from start to finish..I ate pizza for dinner that night and the next day I was 100% back to normal. I never had to take one of the vicodin that was provided for me.

You really are a baby...

women try to drain the life and spirit out of men. they usually do it with marriage but theyll take a shot at men every chance they get.

Just remind them that the only reason men even talk to them is because of that hatchet wound between their legs.

Her 5 hours was for something else...should have clarified.

I guess we all react differently. I couldn't get my mouth really fully open until yesterday.

Well, I could, but she was really great Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Then when I mentioned I still was hurting on Monday, it was like "oh, you're allotted sick time is up."

well, since you put it that way - you kinda sound like you're whining now. Stop over-reacting.

EDIT: Tell the people at work to STFU.

Sometimes they aren't as simple as that.

Mine, 3/4 were impacted. I woke up during the procedure, it was the greatest pain (other than marriage) that I ever felt. I was only able to eat milkshakes for 2-3 days after, I lost about 15 pounds during the time frame.

I did go back to work three days later, even though my cheeks were swollen.

Two of mine were pulled, two were cut out. They main reason I had them removed was one of them decided it was tired of its size and broke in half. Oddly enough it didn't hurt but it felt weird with jagged edges back there. I was eating and doing whatever that night and the next day I went about business as usual. Most pain medicine I took was a couple of advil late in the afternoon. The thing that hurt the most was they had originally packed so much gauze in that when I tried to close my mouth is smashed down on the sockets too much. After I changed them and put less in I was good to go. From what I've noticed, people react differently to having their wisdom teeth removed. My wife looked like somebody clocked her on both cheeks and was hurting bad for 3 days after hers were removed. I think she was upset it didn't really phase me
