Need advice quickly....

Hi guys, I own a 1995 mustang and I'm close to selling the car. Recently I have noticed a coolant leak from a gasket thats on the engine behind water pump. I got a quote from a mechanic of $800 to fix it but I'm about to sell the car and can't spend that much money. I need a quick fix for this problem. What do you guys think of coolant leak sealers, which ones work and which ones damage engine. What else can I do?

Thanks for your time.

IF you use a stop leak...and I say IF, make sure it is the pellets in a jar of goo, not the powdered stuff.
