'88 GT stock, 64k miles <ebay link warning>
Clean, clean fox. First $5k, or bid on the auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...em=270123086750
Gotta get rid of this one to help with the move out of state. from the auction: 1988 Mustang GT -White ext./Red int. -5.0L V8, Automatic transmission -64k original, documented miles -California car (MAF) The following replaced recently (with receipts): -Interstate battery -Alternator -Left and Right Axle Shafts -Accumulator -Struts/Shocks/Rear Springs -Transmission flush -Coolant flush - Gaskets: valve cover, upper plenum, lower intake manifold -New rear main seal, and resealed transmission -Drive-shaft -White exterior paint -Heater Core -Re-upholstered interior (carpet too!) -16” Pony rims. Car is completely stock with the exception of an aftermarket deck (wired for Sirius satellite radio, down to the antenna), and a drop-in K&N air filter. Bought this car last November in Las Vegas. Drove it back up to Portland, OR, where it has sat in the garage. Intentions of making this my fun ‘weekend car’ were washed away with an opportunity to move out of state. This is a clean, clean fox. Pulls hard, and was able to pull off a couple tanks of 26mpg! As briefly mentioned above, this fox is an original California car. According to the CARFAX that I ran upon my purchase of this car, the car was originally titled in California, where it appears to have stayed in San Francisco until it hit 60k miles, at which point the car was moved to Las Vegas. CARFAX guaranteed clean title, actual mileage, no flood/fire/hail damage. . . Car has a couple blemishes in the paint, the CEL will flash a brief moment occasionally while the engine is warming up (Previous owner took the car in to get the codes pulled, revealed nothing, and has not been a problem at all), and the fog lights need to be replaced. Other than that, this car really needs nothing. PLEASE call (leave voicemail) or e-mail me with ANY questions you may have. Car is located in Beaverton, Oregon. matt.jaspers@gmail.com (503)708-4595 *I do reserve the right to end the auction early as car is for sale locally* ***I will require a $500.00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of the end of auction. The balance to be paid within 7 days or upon pick up. Although pick up is preferred, I will assist with shipping at buyers expense.*** |

just curious - why would you change the axle shafts/driveshaft on a 64K mile car??

I bought the car last november from a fellow in Las Vegas. . . he did the bulk of the work. I can only guess why they were replaced. I think the car is in really nice shape, I can only guess that he wanted to cover all of his bases, as he was 'restoring' this car to perfect condition. 64k miles is one thing, but 19 years exposed to the elements. . . still takes a bit of work to get anything that old looking 'perfect'. |

I had really wanted a 5-speed prior to this purchase. . . SO hard to find a clean one though. Gave up and let the auto do the talking. |
