Crappy Luck at the track.... sigh

Well i headed out to test and tune tonight (5-31) and i had everything lined up, i was borrowing my buddies old 245/45/17 nitto drag radials (he got a built rear and runs MT ETs now) so i can see if i could get a new best. no such luck every single run 13.9 with a 2.0 60ft at 99mph. i have no freaking clue what the hell is wrong with my car. One thing i must say is since i was running on drag radials i couldnt do my 2000rpm dump and go b/c i would bog so i was slipping clutch out at 3-4,000 rpms but i dont wanna snap an axle so i think i was slipping to much and that was hurting me. car felt so nice coming out of the line, definately next set of tires on rear are going to be 315nitto 555 drags.

another thing that has me going is, my car last 5 months has been sucking gas alot more than it usually does, even when i drive it sane. i think it maybe time for a tune up? 56,600miles..... dunno.

My best time is 13.53 @102 with a 1.97 on regular 245/45 street radials....... then with nitto 555 streets 275/40 i was at like 13.6-.7 with 2.0s, then with 315 streets i have never gotten better than a 13.8 with a 2.0.

the down grade progression sucks!!!!

big thanks to my fiance for taping the vid and shooting the pics.

What was the weather like? I trapped 121 with only 431 hp on a cold day, but my best trap is 122.88 in hot humid air and higher elevation with 515 hp.

The weather has a lot to do with it.

If you lived in Ca. I would blame the darn "summer gas". My car runs like crap on that stuff.

For starters if you are afraid to break at the track, don't race it. You just end up with unhappy results.

Second do not slip the clutch with a tire. Rev to 3500-4500 and dump that sumb!tch. It will either grab(most likely will if you did a good burnout) or spin.
