must visit places in New York?

probably gonna take the GF there for her 21st bday if things go well.. and trying to put a list together of all the places that are a must visit such as statue of liberty, empire state building, times square, central park, etc... how good is the bronx zoo? what other places?

probably gonna try to accomplish all this in like 3 days or so.... possible?

what about good places to go out at night? i mean it will be her 21st...

and what area's are STAY AWAY from areas? i know NY has some bad area's...

Statue of Lib and Ellis island will take half a day, mostly waiting to get on the ship. Get there early before they open (45 mins before opening) and you'll save yourself some time.

I gave myself a tour of downtown a couple of months ago, I saw a lot of stuff in just a few hours (pics are in my photo gallery) Battery Park - You can get a ferry to the statue of liberty and ellis island there, Wall Street, Fulton Fish Market, WTC

The island is very narrow in that area so you can see a lot quickly

How about a nice dinner at the Rainbow Room on the 65th floor of the Rockefeller Center? If you do the Empire State Building, do it at night. Beautiful view of the city.

dot....mcsorleys is the best old school bar in NYC

Central Park and the village are great as well. Just walking around NYC really shows you why it is so great to live in the area.

Don't forget to stop by Harlem.....real fun these days

Honestly, unless you are super super bored I wouldn't waste time going out to ellis island or the statue of liberty. Like already mentioned you can get a view of it from battery park, and going out there is a long process.

Do a carriage ride around central park, she'll enjoy that and it's a good way to see the nicer parts of midtown. If she's a goofy type, you can take her into one of those silly restaurants like Jekyll and Hyde etc etc, but they ALWAYS have a huge huge waiting line, at least an hour or two.

Take her to a nice stripclub to get a lapdance, there are some very cute girls workin in NYC
