![]() Casio PAW1300-1V Retail $350. Street $200. Casio has updated / re-packaged the most advanced multi atomic / sensor watch in the world into a smaller package. The PAW1300 series is smaller than the previous 1200 series. Both watches however are great. If you are looking for a slightly more pimp / thinner and lighter version of the 1200, the 1300 is for you. My article on the 1200: http://glennmoller.com/?p=55 ![]() Here are both the 1200 and 1300 side by side. They are both still available and cost the same price. Both watches are virtually identical in terms of feature with a few variations. ![]() Where you really see the difference is in the case thickness. The new 1300 is slimmer. ![]() and on the wrist. That's pretty cool.
How big is it compared to the Monster diameter-wise?

It's about the same thickness as the Monster now... and a little larger diameter... 47mm vs 44mm or whatever the monster is... just slightly larger on the diameter...
The real issue / breakthrough with the watch is they made it slimmer... the 1200 was only a few mm thicker but makes all the difference when you are talking watches.. heh. also there is a new LED second sweep hand that goes around the watch that ticks off seconds, and the day / date at the top now shows both at the same time.. or you can have your barometer / altimeter graph showing on your main time screen... a few other minor operational differences.. |

looks pretty beefy, im considering getting the Luminox Navy Seal Series II watch...cheap, indestructable and it looks pretty cool for a watch i'd wear and not give a fvck about scratching...still on the fence though.

looks like something I'd wear hiking if it wasn't $200.
I bought a cheap ass Timex with a digital compass for $25.

yeah the "special" things I use most on the watch are the barometer (I'm a weather freak), Temperature gage and compass..
the "normal" things most all watches have.. that I use on the watch ALL the time are the 5 alarms, countdown timer.. the catch is I use those features all the time because I know I never need a battery... similar to my citizen ![]() automatic atomic sync 5 times a day is nice also ![]() I don't really use the altimeter... though I do check it when I'm on hilltops or in certain areas just for shiits.. haha ... If you were hiking hard core.. you can program alarms with you reach certain elevations, etc.. the compass I use to set my portable sat dish setup all the time... shiit I'd be dead without that.. haha.. |

MSRP is 995.00, street is about $500, but I have no problems buying a used watch if it's in mint shape. Fvck...it will outlive me anyways. Why pay double the price and then end up getting a scratch or ding anyways. ![]()
