the new google maps street view.....where you can acutally go to a "street view" of the map you are looking at.....those are the cars that take the pics.

i rode around in one of those with my buddy who works for google.
 the ones in those pics dont have the camera or GPS units mounted on them though.

I read that they've spent approximately 25 billion so far on the "streetview" project, although the figure sounds more accurate for google maps and the related apps as a whole.
If I weren't so lazy i'd dig through their 10-k and 10-q's.

I wouldnt mind that job. Get paid to just drive around. Except if it was below $15hr. Heck it should be 20+ for their profits this year.
