Anyone ever go white water rafting? WV

I'm going on a week long vacation next week (I'll post the details Friday).

We are going to white water raft here - http://www.rivermen.com

Anyone else ever go there? What were your experiences? Who wants my post count in case I die?

I had lived in WV most of my life dude. It's awesome. The sceneray is beautiful and white water rafting there was a great experience. The water was a bit cold though. Other than that, it was fun as hell.

I want to do that sometime when the kids get a bit older. I'm going to start smaller this fall and take them on a canoe trip.

I'm used to the hot tub's 102 degree temperature. I'm going to freeze.

I went white water rafting in Georgia about 9 years ago. It was fun as hell. Ride the bull man. Thats where you sit up front with your legs dangling and holding a rope while you go through the rapids.

I'm going to ask for the front seat. I heard you get the least amount wet up front.

I just went down the Ocoee in Tennessee on Sunday. Class 3 & 4 rapids. It's where they had the '96 Olympic kayaking competition.
The water was 60 degrees.

No dude riding the bull is when you are sitting on the "nose" of the raft only holding a rope while your feet prett much dangle in the water.

Oh yeah, and tell your gide to be a man and let some of the air out of the raft before you start. You get way more bounce through the rapids that way.

Sure, first bump I fall out, the boat rides over me and everyone beats me with a paddle. That sounds like a good idea.

Ocoee is pretty nice. I've been up there when they run the upper (Olympic course) and it's some 4 & 5's.

Why does it have to be called "white" water rafting? That's racist
