Just had a kid believing it was raining *indoors*!!!
Alright, so I'm at work, kids went to bed at 9:45, there's six bunk beds in the room. One kid, on a top bunk, is a constant attention seeker. I also have a one gallon pump high pressure sprayer at work for my frog tank, it being acrylic I use this to clean the sides without scratching it.
So I pull it out, hide it behind the desk, and give him a little spray (I have great accuracy and it reaches all the way around the room). I hit him in the head and he gets up looking for who did it. At first, he thought other kids were spitting at him, then he swore up and down there was a leak in the cieling. He starts hiding his head, etc., I spray his feet, he hides those, I get his hands. So it gets better...some of the other kids are awake and know what I'm doing. So they address him for playing around like normal, and eventually one of them gets out of bed, walks over to his to talk to him and try to "help" him. Thing is, he feels the sheets and says they're completely DRY. Later, another kid says the same thing, as do I. The kid says there's a leak in the cieling, so I take a flashlight to and, and of course nadda (I kept it off the wall where you could see the overspray). ![]() So I tell him fine, he can move for tonight, and to pick a couch. I keep hosing him there too, he switches couches, and eventually starts crawling around the room looking for a dry place, under beds, etc. ![]() He never did figure it out, he just finally crawled up behind the desk trying to get away from the "storm cloud following him" and saw the sprayer, the kids were rolling...he played kinda ticked, but he was laughing, interacting with other kids...it was great He got a change of clothes and fresh bed sheets, but he turned the sheets down ![]() I love my job For being a good sport, I let him slide on some of his consequences he's built up by not meeting his expectations.

I'm a youth therapist...it's for adjudicated youth, we do residential treatment, it's a 24-7 facility.
The kids get pretty high strung sometimes, we have to find ways to get them to play, loosen up.
