Question Any of you Fartfaces know what exactly goes down at REHAB?

So be it either the latest celebrity meltdown, or some dirtlump like you and I who has succumbed to their vices..

Is it medical treatment for some (methodone maybe)?

Are you just locked away from your drug of choice?

Do you talk to other lumps about how great drugs and alcohol used to be but now you have to walk the line?

Is it just a dry pleasant holiday with some counselling in a controlled environment?

I seem to see this thrown around more these days...

How important are rivalry games to Meyer? After his Gators unleashed Saturday's 45-15 Soak at Doak on the soggy, groggy Seminoles, Meyer was asked about being 11-1 in games against Florida's three biggest rivals — Florida State, Georgia and Tennessee. Meyer smiled slightly and corrected his inquisitor.

"We're 12-1," he said. "We count Miami, too."

I guess that is what I assumed.. Sort of an honest first step for someone wanting to clean up.. I assume it would range in ugliness depending on the drug or other scenarios..

I know a guy who's wife has gone through rehab like 3 times.. and it made me ...

I've read lots of books on the matter, personal memoirs, etc. Rehab seems to mostly be a lot of therapy, coupled with drugs/techniques used to help alleviate the unpleasantness of the withdrawal period. There is also some behavior modification training to try to establish healthier habits in the addicts. Expect lots of group therapy/activity to keep you from thinking about scoring your drug of choice.

its voluntary so you get what you want out of it. you can stay in your room or you can join the group and try to kick the habit.

ive had plenty of patients walk up after 3-4 days wanting to be checked out. they straight up tell me they are going to go shoot up because they cant take being without it. and you simply make sure they dont want to kill themself/kill others and let them go.

oh dude, don't get me wrong I'm not going or anything.. I was just wondering..

Based on the lady I mentioned, it seemed like university to me. You can get lots out or get nothing out of it.. I just didn't know how much was "medical" if any, and how much was meetings / counselling..

yeah, it's a lot like college. You get out of it what you put into it. That's why everyone always says that, "unless the addict is willing to help themselves, it's a lost cause".

In my perfect society all addicts/hobos/scum of whatever sort, that don't contribute anything would stand before a judge, and once convicted be sent to an "Island of the damned". I haven't thought of a way yet to keep the Island unsupervised yet civilized and the trash from tearing eachother apart yet though.
