comcast<*

nothing but trouble with this **** company since they took over for timewarner in houston.

1. first they come out to install (tv and high speed internet). tv works but internet doesnt work for 1 week. in all their genius i somehow get put under timewarner even though comcast has taken over for weeks now. i get put into some limbo for internet. takes them 1 week to figure out how to pull their heads from their asses.

2. all the while im waiting i ask for the damn cable stretching across my backyard and side to be burried as the people installing dont do it. call multiple times and they keep resceduling and cancelling.. resceduling cancel (repeat X6). Now 1 month later i demand they get their asses out there because I have to have someone hold the ****ing line up so i can mow every week. noway im doing it in the 100 degree temp and i did pay these ****s 178 for install (which later was reimbursed)

they say ok we will send out a tech wednesday our supervisor has your information and it wil be done since its been rescheduled so many times for no reason. guess what doesnt happened come wednesday...

call thursday get your asses out here and bury the ****ing cable... ok sir it looks like its been scheduled for Sat an all day thing and its listed as a "must do"....yeah you told me that last time are you people going to show....yes we will be there.

3. Friday come home from work today and my front lawn is mowed . i notice the neighbors is too so i figure they must have decided to mow mine at the same time (small front yards)...I go inside and immediately know im ****ed. If they mowed my lawn I know they mowed over my ****ing cable line where it connects in between the houses. i look out the window and sure enough the cable is ****ing cut in two. ... doorbell rings and neighbor is appologizing saying she ran over my cable. im like dont worry it wasnt your fault the moron cable company has been a pain in the ass for a month now. ( im nice to her as she is very friendly but im about to explode )

4. call cable company. i immidiately get an automated message saying a team is set to come out tomorrow if i need to change (blah blah). I talk with the tech... you ****s are too late now my cable is cut come out and fix it.... sorry sir would you like to pay 1.99 a month in case this happens in the future ...WHAT!! **** no its your fault it was cut in the first place. if you hadnt taken more than a month (and still going) to get your asses out here it wouldnt be cut... lets see the soonest we can come out is the 16th......

**** YOU COMCAST

CLIFFS: Comcast worst customer service EVER. if cable companies didnt have a monopoly and satellite didnt lose connection so easy i would be long gone.

I had nothing but problems with Comcast as well. The only time I ever lose signal with satellite is when it's crazy storming out.

249 and spring cypruss (just north of Hewlett packard).

if they were close and could even get me a temp fix (put a connector on each end where it broke and hook it back together) that would be sweet. something tells me they arent near me though

edit: nevermind he is in katy

Nothing but trouble with Comcast here when they took over Adelphia. I could visibly tell I lost bandwidth after the takeover, but it's amazing how much faster my dsl connection is than my cable internet through comcast

Nope. I'm not sure why, but TWC gave up Houston in a trade with Comcast for DFW.

Black - ya man, that a bit of a haul. I'll ask him, but I kinda doubt it.

I finally got my Com-asstic service back up and running. So far so good. Like you Black, my internet and digital phone service has not worked well since the changeover from TW. After putting up with the intermittent issues I was seeing, I went and changed out the box. Doing that shut me totally down for 3 days as I was forced to wait on a call back from the top-level techs. Turns out that the bitch who gave me the box "assumed" that "something" had been input into the system so that it would work.

3 days without the net was pure hell!!!

Hey did you guys opt out of Communist Cast's new policy? They tried to sneak it by us Houston people, but the new policies are basically ways to screw you over.

clicky here to opt out their BS. If you don't do it soon, you will loose your right to do it in the future and will be bound to their new rules.

no problem.

From what all the consumer advocates were saying, you'd have to be an idiot to think this is a good deal. You're basically giving up your right to sue them.

I don't want to sue anyone, but with the cable company, you're talking about guys who sometimes drive big trucks, come into your yard, climb around your house, go in your house, cut through to hook up your neighbors, can mess with your pets, etc. That's a lot of liability, and there's always the chance something can go wrong. If that happened, I'd be pissed if they said I had signed away my right to sue them

Woot!

went to homedepot and purchased a kit for making my own coax connectors. $25 and you get a hex shaped crimper, cable cutters and special cable stripper that cuts the specific settings you need plus about 10 ends to the cable. took me 2 minutes to repair my cable line myself.

now i dont have to wait a week without service for the morons to come out
