Just got my 14" shortie antenna - install question for those who've got one

The thing came with no instructions of any kind and I just want to make sure I don't fvck anything up, or waste any more time than I have to.

The package comes with the antenna (which has a little black conical piece at the bottom), a small black sleeve that's about an inch and a half long, and three different double-ended/threaded screws.

Someone got a quick write up on doing this properly so I don't chip/damage anything?

Just find the screw that fits with your antenna/base and screw it on

That's what I did with mine anyway.

I just wanna know if there's any tips or anything I need to keep in mind so I don't risk chipping anything. Just being careful

when you put it back on, wrap it in some kinda tape so when you wrench on it, it doesnt gouge the black metal and get all rusty. then take the tape off when its all nice and tight.

Wrap the entire car in blue painter's tape first. That will help

TO the car looks awesome with those wheels. The antenna though, it still looks the same but just shorter. doesn't add or take away from the overall look of the car compared to stock height.

Thanks man. Today's pics don't look as good cause it's overcast and the car's a little dirty. Check the "before" pic to get the full effect when they're clean and shiny

It's not the easiest to tell from those pics, I admit. The silver (before) one is hard to make out in the first pic, but see how it extends WAY above the roofline (it was 29")? Compare that pic to the second pic with the new one - they're basically taken at the same angle. The new antenna is half as long (14"), and barely reaches the windshield header.
