FSU vs Alabama in week 1 should be a great way to open the season.

Hopefully, Auburn's transfer QB and new OC light it up this year.

3 series in and Jacob Eason is out with a knee injury. Many UGA fans getting their wish in Jake Fromm seeing the field. Easy to see why. He marched right down the field for a TD.

When he did that, I said to the group I was with, "All non-OU fans hate him so much right now." I guess Michigan fans would enjoy it.

Hopefully FSU falls out of the top 25 after NS State closes out this beating today.

Edit: I haven't watched many NC State games, but this Jaylen Samuels kid is a monster.

UGA defense looking stout. Loving it. I think MSU was a bit overinflated and LSU wasn't the quality win people thought it was when casting votes last week.

I wouldn’t go that far. The defense is as good as it was in 2012 when they played Bama for the SEC. But the offensive line is the weak link. They’ll probably make it to ATL but won’t be able to move the ball on Bamas defense.

1. Alabama (44 first-place votes)
2. Clemson (17)
3. Oklahoma
4. Penn State
5. Georgia
6. Washington
7. Michigan
8. TCU
9. Wisconsin
10. Ohio State
11. Washington State
12. Auburn
13. Miami
14. USC
15. Oklahoma State
16. Virginia Tech
17. Louisville
18. South Florida
19. San Diego State
20. Utah
21. Notre Dame
21. Florida
23. West Virginia
24. NC State
25. UCF

The only way UGA gets into the playoffs is through Bama in Atlanta.

I honestly feel like Clemson has a better claim to first than Bama.

Coin toss IMO. Clemson has more ranked opponent wins, but Alabama is dismantling teams. Against Ole Miss 28 of those points were scored by 3rd and 4th string. They probably had walk ons on the field.

Body of work and rankings, I agree. Who’d actually win if they played tomorrow, Bama 9 times outta 10.

I’m not sure if Vandy scoring 2 TDs is an indication they’re better than Tennessee, Miss St or LSU. GA played super soft on defense today. Smart was pretty pissed about the TD they allowed right before the half.
