The end game is what brings you the most joy.
It might be as simple as a 100k invested or even sitting in a bank brings more joy than 100k sitting in the garage, eventually being a burden that you want to sell.

Most I've spent on a used baller is 55k. I would talk about and threaten to buy a Lambo or Ferrari but just ended up saving it for my kids' houses and/or give it away to family.

I have enough to buy several used Ferrari F12 Berlinettas

Your philosophy just doesn’t seem consistent. You spent 100k on landscaping. What’s the difference?

If you’re all about being secure and just sitting on a nest egg with minimal stuff why draw the line a fun car? Do you consider the pool and landscaping a sound investment? Falls into the same category as a vehicle IMO.

Wife wanted the pool and landscaping. I was fine leaving it a dirt lot. In fact, I hate the pool. I never use it, but it's a constant source of work.

I got the fun/fast car thing out of my system in my 20s, and have never been into cars to impress other people, like as a symbol of success. Don't you have multiple houses and do well? What car would you get that you can't get now?

But to your questions, I do well but am not rich. I do not keep a million in cash (liquid) and the thought of that amount of money not invested or otherwise utilized seems foolish. At a high enough wealth I understand it would become a rounding error, but I am not nearly at that level.
