Haha, my '90 would turn over 1,800 RPM at about 70mph with the stock 2.73 gears. I loved taking that car on the interstate and long roads.

2800-3100 rpms @ 65-70mph 1:1 w/28" tire 3.73's. With the 3.27 gear was 26-2800rpm 65-70mph. Not that bad really and definitely a c4 or th400 will be faster than an aod/e/4r70 they soak allot of hp compaired but some people love their OD, depends how many miles a year you gonna really see if under 10K **** it go with the 1:1 !

My speedo isn't right on, but I have 3.27's and an AODE...In OD, converter locked, I'm seeing about 1600 @ 60 (should be close).

1,900 RPM @ 70MPH on the highway. Lovin' it too. Thing gets better gas mileage than my 4-cyl Ranger
![]() Edit: I still have 2.73's ![]()

Yeah my gas mileage was pretty sweet on my AOD when it was stock. With 3.55 and AOD it was getting around 21 mpg. After putting in 3.73 gears I was seeing about 19-20 on the highway - slight drop. With the T5 not much difference. I really like the 3.73's and a T5 on the highway because I can leave it in 5th and put the hammer down to pass traffic.
