You don't really own your cyrpto unless you alone control the keys.

The safest place to store it is in an offline wallet.

How do invest in hacking groups that gain billions that these exchanges lose? Easy money IMO

you couldn't even figure out how to run a perl binary. Fat chance you can figure out who the hackers are that are doing these crimes.

Facebook Reverses Ban on Cryptocurrency Ads, Maintains Ban on ICOs

"Facebook has updated its policy to allow cryptocurrencies to once again be advertised, while upholding its ban on the promotion of initial coin offerings (ICOs), in an announcement published Tuesday, June 26."

Analyst Predicts Bitcoin Price Rebound Above $10,000 by 2019

"Todd Gordon, founder of TradingAnalysis.com predicted Bitcoin (BTC) to drop to $4,000 prior to a rebound above $10,000 by 2019 on CNBC’s Stock Draft June 22."

Yay!

If Fund Managers Back Bitcoin

A few years ago, I asked a friend at a major Wall Street trading desk if her colleagues ever talked about cryptocurrencies. She responded that one person would occasionally bring up Bitcoin, then the room would clear out.

This was during Wall Street’s “Bitcoin is stupid” period, which fell between the initial, “I don’t understand it” era and the more recent “it’s a bubble” phase. Since the advent of the first cryptocurrency nine years ago, professional money managers have almost universally dismissed it as a potential investment. Although many have come around on the power of the underlying technology, cryptocurrencies have often been ignored or ridiculed."

enter bean and hollywood, lucc and 347

"Last year, as the price gains of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ether were generating daily headlines, some fund managers went on the attack, calling the sector a pyramid scheme. Although they probably really felt that way, they might have also been a little jealous. Wall Street money managers are not used to standing on the sidelines while amateurs get rich off something the pros don’t really understand, or worst yet, own."

"The answer lies in basic math. Institutions control so much money that they own half a trillion dollars’ worth of Apple alone, and that’s just one stock within a single asset class. If all the hedge funds and family offices out there decided to commit a fraction of that capital to a diversified portfolio of cryptocurrencies, they may double the size of the sector."

This one I liked.

"Bitcoin may not go to zero, but it’s “very much” a bubble, Robert Shiller, the Nobel laureate economist whose warnings about dot-com mania proved prescient"

But what does a Nobel laureate know? Probably better to listen to some dipshiit on a mustang message board.

TenX Co-Founder Still ‘Quite Confident’ Bitcoin Can Hit $60,000 This Year

"Back then, December, price was at a $20,000 all-time high. I predicted for 2018, we're going to see $5,000 and $60,000. So $5,000, we’ve pretty much hit it, so let's see if we can do the $60,000. I'm still quite confident."

Study: Crypto Could Become Mainstream Means of Payment Within Next Decade

"According to the report, cryptocurrencies are already fulfilling one of three fundamental principles of fiat money by acting as a store of value, while they still do not meet two other requirements; acting as a medium of exchange and serving as a unit of account.

Per the study, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies need to solve six main challenges to meet these requirements; scalability, usability, regulation, volatility, incentives, and privacy.

The report stresses that new payment systems, as well as asset types, “do not emerge overnight.” Iqbal Gandham, U.K. Managing Director of eToro, noted that the first email was sent in 1971, while it took about three decades “to become commonplace with a user-friendly interface.”"

Bitcoin Will Fail as Governments Increase Regulation

"Three major American economists have recently spoken negatively about Bitcoin’s (BTC) chances for survival in an interview with Financial News today, July 9.

“Once it [the cryptocurrency market] becomes significant they will use the hammer.”"
