Another AR-15 thread... Need AR experts in here.

Heres the deal. I need to remove my handguards without the tool. Any methods???

get a friend

make sure the gun is unloaded

put it down on the stock with the barrel pointing up, grab the delta ring and pull it downwards

have your friend try to get the handguards off

After about 15 minutes of pulling, and 2 sore thumbs I got it off.

I like it for laying down and shooting... I really plan on putting it on my ruger 10/22 which has a scope
