2 1/2" cowl hood for $200. Good deal?

I can pick up a 2 1/2" cowl hood, brand unknown, for $200 tomorrow night?

It'll need to get painted. What should I look for?
$200 a good deal.

Thanks,
Mike

i paid $300 for a factory shaker hood (hood part only), so in my opinion, if it's in good shape (not cracked or warped), sounds good to me

Yeah. $200 seems to be the going price for these hoods in decent shape.

Find out who makes it. You may end up paying a good bit if the fitting is horrible etc.

The only company I recommend for hoods is Cervini.

Cobra R hood is the way to go Mike. They look great on Foxes.

hmmm....yeah The Cobra R hood is nice. But I do like the simple/mean look of a plain cowl. I guess I should bring my car and actually mount it before taking it.

So he had two hoods there. A 4" or the 2 1/2". I went with the 2 1/2" hood. It looked much better!! It already had hood pins so I'll be cleaning that up and putting my locking hood pins in!

Then prep and paint. I'll mount it on to see the fitting sometime this week! I'll snap a pic.

Oh and picked up a minty o/r H-pipe too! Not sure the brand but I'll post a pic and you guys can tell me.
