Some Progress pictures.. - Mustang Forum

First off i want to say that my pops is the sh1t. He's had the car for a while but he works on it when he wants and i'm in no rush for the car since i'm at school.. I'd love to have it but it will be perfect when i get it back.

The pictures are pretty small but you will get the idea. My mom must have shrunk them when she sent them. Anyways, I'll get some bigger pictures this weekend since i'm going home and will take some pictures of the engine

1/4 windows- These are a pain in the as$. Simple as that but came out amazing.

Car-

New roof rails and all will be put on-

Hatch is fixed- There was quite a bit of rust on it so we cut it out, replaced the metal and now its prepped without the 93 cobra spoiler which is primered already as well.

That's it for now, really disappointing the pictures are so small but i can't complain at least i got some

Update- Car needs to be wetsanded and cut. Dad called today and was pretty p1ssed because some bugs got in he paint on the roof and hood but hopefully they'll come out. 3 coat of clear was put on..

Yea i will, bought him an Eco Drive a couple weeks ago

But mom called an hour ago and said he's been working his ass off the past 3 days non stop. He's got a guy bringing a 66 to the house for an overhaul so he wants to get mine sprayed before any sh1t will be flying around.

What do you think about the hood? We thought it was going to be darker but eh.... I think it looks pretty slick.

When do you plan on having the exterior done, and are you going to do any of the sanding and cutting or let your pops do it?

PS chrome > black chrome. Seriously, it will look soooooo much better with the reg chrome. Black chrome just looks like the wheels always have break dust on them. My boy Scott (RioRed4v) had black chrome saleens on his '99 cobra and while they looked ok, the chrome saleens looked much better. On a white or silver car black chrome looks ok, put on darker colors the reg. chrome just makes it pop much better

Yea i'm up in the air with the wheels right now..

My dad still has to finish the Hatch and paint/drill the holes for the spoiler. I'd say a couple weeks. Also have to get the engine done which i already have all the parts but its hard for me to get home to help him and he hasn't hired any messicans yet.

Looking real good now!!! For a second I thought there was a dent in your front hood, Then when I looked closer it was just a reflection of you on the shiny paint hahaha

Just checking up with a few photos my pops sent me.. Got the Trim on, New headlights in and the car has been blocked/ wet sanded and polished.. He's not happy with a few parts of the car but theres enough clear to make it look good. I'm sure it looks perfect, he's just very particular the average person would never notice half the sh1t he sees lol

Anyways, the hatch is finished as well. Had to weld all the holes up from the previous LX spoiler and fill them and re-spray. Now we're waiting on the 3rd brake light they forgot to send

It's coming along, the last picture is my pops with his buddies Helo in the backyard

*UPDATE*

Got all of the body finished, thanks to DanTheMan for the help getting the hatch on

Waiting on the heads to get done and put the new powerplant in and then i'll bring it up here to Lex and do the wheels.

Main big difference is the 93 cobra spoiler, and nice to see it all take shape with new moldings and everything. My dad mixed some of the black paint and clear and sprayed the tails. He took the initiative witch is awesome

Looks great for painting it in a shop behind the house and no booth.

Interior is after wheels, so sometime after December. Plan was to do it beginning of next year. My interior is MINT and i'm getting the front windshield tinted so i'm not worried about it right now. fvck the haters.
