possible to put wheel studs in whilst the axles are on the car?

i really really dont want to have to take the rear appart to do this, but i need the longer studs to be track legal with the welds..

thoughts?

im thinking put them in from the back, and use my impact to crank a lugnut down on them so it pulls the stud through?

I have done it... stock size is easy to do, i think for the 3 inch studs i had to take the brakes apart to get room to sneak them in

I would have to disagree with that statement. I have seen many people have problems with turbo setups.

Haha I don't have the 'bird no more. What's funny is I am actually putting a 2.3T in my '92 hatchback. But it's getting a brand new wire harness from detailzone.com. The motor is fully rebuilt and bored .30 over and the turbo was rebuilt by IHI Turbo America and only has about 500 miles on it. Can't wait to see what it does. Hopefully (keeping my fingers crossed) it doesn't give me any problems.

IF you get it installed and tuned correctly. And that's a big IF, especially since you are taking the road less traveled.

'92 LX full weight coupe, no weight reduction other than manual rack to clean up the engine bay, as seen in 12/04 5.0 Mustangs magazine, and on the cover of the NMRA Race Pages.

Completely stock and untouched complete original motor never taken out of the car, not just a stock shortblock, 37k miles, stock untouched shortblock, stock original e7 heads never off the block, stock cam never taken out, stock lower intake never off, stock upper only taken off to replace injectors but not touched, stock throttle body untouched, stock original never rebuilt AOD with homemade valve body by PI converter, stock rear end with 3.55 gears only, through full exhaust including BBK shorty headers, BBK h-pipes with functional cats, Flowmaster catback to the bumper, emissions legal, running on 93 octane pump gas, and on drag radials.

10.91 @ 124.36 with a 1.58 60 ft. on BFG drag radials with an S-trim and Snow methanol

10.67 @ 127.11 with a 1.52 60 ft. on BFG 275/60/15 Drag Radials with a T-trim and Snow methanol

or ...

rio -11.29/120 1994 GT, V-2 S-trim, stock longblock, AODE

if i could drive my car like them and pull that kinda 60 ft i bet my car could be rite there with thoes numbers or at least pretty close (i only go to teh track once or twice a year)... my mph was rite there with the t trim guy.

any way the reason i like the turbo over the sc is having full boost all through the rpms once its spooled. plus the ability to put more power to the wheels (not turning the blower using power) but not being as close to block splitting power (stock block)
