93 cobra intake - Mustang Forum

im looking for an original 93 cobra intake if anyone on here has a spare they would be looking to sell.

to keep it tech if the part number on the lower intake starts with an f8 and not an f3 then it is not an original even tho everyone sells them as original.

got an explorer intake and some gt40p heads for 300 bucks

no cobra though

I'm also looking for regular gt40 heads.. wish yours weren't P's or I'd buy them. My cobra has a "cobra" lintake but its the Ford racing one with the f8 part number.. hopfuly n20 still has one. I tried to pm him but his box is full.

Slowly figuring that out... the car is low millage and I think it was a track car. Trans is a 88 date code, throttle body has a hole for nitrous Maby. Has not OEM heads and a lopey cam. Not even sure yet if the block is original or not but it has been out of the car as the motor mount attaching points are all scratched up.

I'm nursing it back to health.

bensalem is only like 40 min from me, so i could pick it up instead of you needing to ship it.

That one is sold...I have another one that looks stock but is ported...

looks good, im interested. what are you looking to get for it.

the lower intake should have the firing order up front behind the dizzy and part number by the 7 and 8 intake runners.

Quick question. How does an unported Cobra intake flow compared to a Trick Flow intake? Most of the intakes I've been looking at are $500+ and that's not including the throttle body. Would a Cobra intake with some AFR 165's be comparable HP/TQ to say a Trick Flow top end kit?

Not sure..I would think similar.

My cobra intake will be for sale once I get a OEM cobra.

not as much as a TFS intake, but they arent horrible the cobra has nice tq. But the afr 165 is a little smaller and flows a lil less than a TW and same thing with the cobra intake compared to the TFS street/track heats.

Yeah, maybe I'll go with one of the newer intakes instead of a Cobra. Man, I'm so pissed I passed up a Trick Flow top end kit on eBay a couple weeks ago with a low, low Buy It Now price - was an open box item. I came so close to clicking the button and chickened out. I won't pass up another deal like that again...I'll keep searching to find a set of used AFR 165's or a good deal on a top end kit. Then just slap it on my DD and call it a day. I really want to keep my Stang N/A.

Sorry haven't been over to my parents to look for it. I'm certain it's in the shed though...as I mentioned it's ported all around but NOT cut.

When you dig it up just doubble check the lower is real. Should have an f3 part number near cylinder 7 and firring order Near the dizzy.

I'm free next weekend. I don't know the area around you so just let me know a good meeting place

Well, if you are still looking for a set of regular GT40 heads, I can ask my uncle if he will part with his. The motor they are on is going nowhere. It's sitting in the back shed. Let me know if you still need them.

What were the heads off originally. I got a set off of a 96 explorer but there missiong the air injection ports and have 1/2 head bolt holes. I plan to use them unless I get a pair of really cobra heads for a good price

I have heard mixed replies about the Chinese intakes. Prone to cracking, breaking on the bolt holes. Is this true?
