4r70w issues

I've recently been having some issues with my 2000gt.
First one is my overdrive sometimes will not work when I first start up the car. When I noticed this I pulled over right away and turn the car off. ChEked the fluids and everything seemed fine. Started to car back up and noticed the overdrive all of the sudden works. Maybe the transmission need to beat up? I've repeated this same process over and over. May it something electrical?

The other issue I have with the transmission is sometimes the overdrive light will start flashing on and off. The car starts shifting very hard.

I did install a shift kit many many years ago but never had issues until now. The car has about 89,000 miles if that matters.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try to take it somewhere like Autozone to scan it.

The vikings wrote songs about women like her. They wrote them to sing to children who were misbehaving. One of the more famous ones roughly translates to, "The woman who lays with the black bear and makes the ground tremble will leak ass fluid all over your woven blankets"

the flashing probably means you need new shift acummulators, my tranny doesn't shift into o/d until i go about a mile or so, it's been like that for about 5 years, the shift acummulators are easy to put in, do some research i found directions online and put them in and haven't had the light flash since that was about 4 years ago good luck.

Did you also experience the very hard shiffting when the od light starts flashing?

Does your od start working on it's own after you drive a mile or do you have to restart the car?

Thanks

wow, mine has 197,XXX and it has never done anything like that. But, I did baby it for the last 120,000 miles....

I changed tranny fluid at 90,000 miles, that's all I've done. But it does shift kind of hard now.

Good luck.

my car shifted normal when the light started flashing, but i didn't drive it very far i drove home then fixed it a few day's later, as far as the o/d goes it shifts on it's own after a mile or so.
