Cool what fluid goes in the t45

i have a 99 cobea with a t45,i going to change the rear trans seal and need to know what oil and weight i need if its gear oil or trans oil.thanks

I would put royal purple syncromax in my t45. Damn it was smooth R would go in softer. I no longer had the problem with the transmission feeling rough after driving 4 hours on the highway. Good stuff. I recommend it, look it up.

i've been running pennzoil synchromesh and have had no problems. anything listed above is not a bad choice either.

I too have used the RP synchromax in my old 97 Cobra trans and it solved the grinding.

I have a street/strip tranny from thet45source, and they recommend regular dextron/mercron. I use mobil 1 synthetic, but the man who builds t-45's ALOT says just put the regular stuff in.

It has been 5 years since I used it(sold the car 4 years ago) but I believe it is MTF.
