There are a lot of jealous people on here. The FR-S looks bad ass. I'm sure the handling in the car is just as great as its looks.

The point is in numerical categories this thing is not fukking special. You can't be jealous of a $25000 car unless it's in the early 70s and a Lambo Miura drives by. Cool, it handles decent and it's not really fast, which makes it seem to handle better than it does.

FWIW.. I've spent a good several days behind the wheel of the car.. My ONLY complaint with it is it really doesn't feel like it has 200HP.. and even if it did, 200HP isn't enough for this car
If it had a bit more scoot I'd prob get one.. As it is, I don't think they'll have a problem selling, people who live in curvy areas who don't need the midrange around-town grunt or who are used to a slower car will have no complaints with the powerband of the car. It fits me well, the handling is awesome, the ride is as balanced as I'd expect.. I just don't understand why they didn't give it more oomph.. Same complaints the RX8 guys had.. I took the car to Cars & Coffee today with RLS's Datsun 240z, I realize that it's because the car is new, but there were Porsches and Ferraris 1-2 cars away.. Almost always crowds around the FRS checking it out, but not so much around the exotics.. So it seems to have stirred something in quite a lot of people, aside from the guy standing by his 240SX who made a comment about 'not being caught dead in a scion' to his buddies, loud enough for me to hear  didn't see anyone checking his POS out

You're entirely entitled to your opinion, and after driving one for several days, I don't think i could live with one based on the straight line performance you'd mentioned.. But I think it does have it's place, there are many people out there more into auto crossing, or taking corners rather than being into drag racing.. And vice versa.. IMO after riding down with RLS in his 240.. This feels like the modern version of the goals of that car, far from the fastest thing out there, but affordable in the entry-level world, superb handling, extremely fun to drive, and for people where straight line or out-of corner acceleration isn't everything, the car is surprisingly superb..

I agree with Ryan, just needs little more pep, but a cool car other than that.
For a kid who wants to have a cool looker, and a parent who does not want their kid to kill themselves in a really fast car, it fits that bill. I would like to drive the stick version though, might be different a little. The rear wheel drive is cool though. With about 250-280 HP this car would be a true blast. Gets a ton of looks.
