2017-18 NFL Thread

Might as well start this thing since we have some big news today.

Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott suspended six games for conduct

The Rams trade CB EJ Gaines and 2018 second round pick to the Bills for WR Sammy Watkins and 2018 sixth round pick.

No, but isn't that what most people do? Correct me if I'm wrong. We always have an NFL thread, and I just took this time to start it.

IMO the Falcons will be even better this year than last year mostly due to better depth. But I also think they'll have a tough time getting back to the Super Bowl because I think the Bucs will be better and the Panthers will be back stronger.

Edit: the Rams will suck regardless.

Still can't get used to the LA Chargers.

And fvck Marshawn Lynch, hated that the Raiders picked him up, he's a cancer/distraction to the team which was headed in the right direction for once.

Hopefully he gets a torn ACL/MCL during preseason, then he can sit his ass the entire game.

And he's so great he wasn't even given the ball on goal line during the Super Bowl. LMFAO

What? Assault and felony gun charges aren't the actions of a model citizen?

G35, giving back to the community isn't as pretty when it is court ordered.

It's amazing the blinders he puts on when it comes to pro black athletes.

Lynch raises 200k for his foundation, but only uses 25k of it for the stated cause. What a model charity he runs!

http://www.newtoseattle.com/2014/11/...aimed-mission/

Quote:
Lynch’s foundation is called the Fam 1st Family Foundation. According to its federal tax return for 2013, the foundation received $169,530 in contributions. It listed another $31,082 in investment returns and royalties, for total revenue of $200,612.

Of that sum, exactly $41,627 was spent in direct furtherance of the stated mission to “foster community relations, mentor youth athletes and assist financially disadvantaged families through football camps, holiday food and gift drives, and other community events.” Specifically, $17,894 went for the camps, $2,343 on holiday food and $21,390 on “family bowling events.”

Even when the left discusses pro sports it's faux news.

Packers are an interesting SB pick. They're an aging team who are mostly unchanged from last year. It will still mostly be Rodgers carrying them and he'll inevitably run out of steam eventually.

It's a bit of a stretch, but I have been hoping for a Brady/Rodgers SB.

They also lost key pieces to the OL, doesn't help. They will be good, but I doubt they have enough to get to the SB.

It's all about the value. His cap hit this year will be $13.9M, which is the exact amount this list used to get six WRs.

Ruh-ruh, maybe Carroll should speak to GT35 before making comments about standing for anthem.

I made a mistake. I meant to pick the Raiders and Texans as Wild Card teams.

I know it's just preseason, but Jared Goff looked much improved last night.

Don't get too impressed the raiders defense is horrible. Hopefully the raper Conley and obi meliwhatever can help out but god damn. Atlantas starters look killer so far on both sides of the ball.

They had 7-8 rookies starting in the SuperBowl. I have a feeling that defense is gonna be nasty this year.

I've seen some people saying they will regress because of the SB hangover, but they still have a great squad.

Unless they make an ownership/GM change you won't ever have to worry about the Lions. Stafford is one of the few highlights of that dumpster fire.
