We forgot to mention that before you can have anything casted, you need a mold. BBK has a whole mold workshop where they create different molds for different part and engine applications.

This is all tied in with their testing and R&D that is done at the facility. If they need to tweak something after testing, they can create new molds, then manufacture the finished parts from their final masters.

Here is a part of the facility that creates "one off" parts for testing.

When the final parts are created. Racks and racks of parts that come off the machines are stakcked.

and stacked, and stacked.. :-)

then they are cleaned, de-burred and made ready for assembly with other parts.

Here are rows of bins full of misc parts (springs, spacers, nuts, bolts, sensors, etc) that are ordered to custom specs by BBK to fit throttle bodies, plenum covers, etc. We saw a bucket full of TPS sensors and wondered how much all those sensors would cost :-)

Here is where final assembly takes place. All the little parts are installed onto the larger parts to create a final part that bolts into your Mustang (that was long, but made sense).

The parts are then packed and boxed and sent to retailers world wide.

Vice President Ken Murphy and President/CEO Brian Murphy

We'd like to thank Brian and Ken for inviting us on the tour, the new facility is amazing and the new parts being made are awesome.
