Matthew O'Daniel's 86 Stang
Panama City, Fl.

This is my '86 Mustang, it was a former 4 banger which I purchased after my '86 GT was totaled in a wreck. I pulled the 4 cylinder and replaced it with an '89 302HO with some mods.

List of Modifications:

'89 302 Shortblock (re-ringed and re-bearing)
Holley HP 600 Carb.
Edlebrock Performer RPM Intake
Barry Grant HP150 Fuel pump & Regulator
-8 & -10 Steel Braided Fuel lines
Holley Anihilator Ignition Box
MSD Billet Distibutor
World Products Windsor Jr. Cylinder heads (Mild Port Work)
Crane Energizer 1.6 Roller Rockers
FMS F303 Camshaft
MAC 1-5/8 Long Tube Headers
MAC 2-1/2 Off-Road H-Pipe (Soon to be changed to X-pipe from Dr. Gas)
MAC Flo-Path 2-1/2 Catback system w/ chrome tailpipes (this system is LOUD :)
Automotive Specialties Solid Motor Mounts
Borg Warner T-5 w/ Hurst Short throw shifter (Just changed over from the C-4)
HD Cobra Clutch
Automotive Specialties Firewall Adjustable Clutch Cable & Quadrant
Richmond 4.56 Ring & Pinion (Actually not as bad as you'd think with 5 spd)
Lakewood 50/50 Drag Shocks
Kenne Brown Super Subframe Connectors
Black Magic Electric Fan
BBK Power Pullies
K&N Air Filter
MSD 9mm Plug Wires
Auto Meter Gauges (5 Monster Tach w/ Shift Light, Oil Pres., & Water Temp.)
Weld Draglite's 15x3.5's in front & 15x8's rear with 275/50 BFG Drag Radials
Battery Relocated in the back
Custom 5" Cowl Induction Hood
The suspention is completely stock 4 cylinder except for the drag shocks and it hooks extremely well.

Future Modifications:
150HP Nitorus Works Kit
Paint and Body Work (Thinking a nice bright yellow w/ white racing stripes & Cobra tail).
Lakewood Traction Bars
BBK Upper & Lower Control Arms
Eibach Drag Spring Kit
Lakewood Drag Struts

The car hasn't seen the track yet because it hasn't been quite finished, but I am working on that and hope to have it finished for the start of race season. Hopefully will have the paint & body work done by then as well. I'll be trying to get it ready for the Fun Ford Weekend in Montgomery, Ala. so I might participate.
