90 Cobra clone
My 1990 Cobra clone. This started out as a 1990 GT, and has a Cervinis
cobra kit and a origional 93 cobra rear bumper. It has Grey leather,
sunroof, and all the other options, including the wonderful AOD that
everyone loves. I also had the car completely repainted when i got it.
It is covered in glasurit black and silver with many coats of clear.
Here is my current mod list:
-Mac longtubes with a 2 cat H-pipe
-Dynomax 2.5" exhaust with super turbos
-Trick Flow street intake
-70mm cobra mass air meter
-65mm throttle body
-9# Powerdyne supercharger (i have an 11# pulley in the closet)
-6 point maximum motorsports roll bar
-Autometer Tach, boost, and air/fuel gauge
-Nitrous Works 125hp nitrous kit with purge valve
-MSD 6-BTM
-95 Cobra R wheels
-LX tail lights
-Custom switch panel in ash tray
-Full lenth custom stainless steel sub frames
-FMS C springs
-Back seat removed
-Black carpet
-Alluminum battery box in the hatch
-PPI, Orion, Pioneer, JBL, Kenwood, and Blaupunkt stereo components
I still need to finish up
the blower install and put on the NW kit when i get back form school
in March for spring break.
I do all my work/welding/fabrication
my self and i have found and or pieced together these things over time
for the following:
-put together the blower
kit for about $600
-TFS intake- $275
-NW kit- $175
-Made and installed the sub frames for $50
-TB and mass air meter- $60
-93 cobra rear bumper- $25
That just goes to show, if
you take your time, be rescourceful, and look around, anything can be
found. I don't have any track times yet, but i will get some this summer
for sure!
Future plans: Rebuild AOD
with new converter and valve body, 3:55 or 3:27 gears, 331 DSS short
block, AFR 185 heads, and anything else i can get a good deal on.
