I'm proud to
finally share my 2001 Zinc Yellow Mustang GT Premium Coupe with MustangWorld.
I bought the car December 16th, 2000 from Bev Smith Ford in Palm Beach
Gardens, FL. I traded in my modified 1997 Nissan 200SX SE for it.
Ever since I got to Florida, I had been slowly but surely catching Mustang
Fever. It was after seeing the Ford Power Festival at Moroso Motorsports
Parkway in October that I finally got hooked and knew I wanted a Mustang
GT.
I immediately fell in love
with the new styling of the 2001 GT Premium when I saw it. I loved the
retro-style Bullitt wheels! Even though the hood scoops aren't functional,
I do believe this is one of the more aggressive looking Mustangs I've
seen come out of Ford's factory. I actually prefer its aggressive styling
over the new 2001 Cobra's styling.
Yesterday, April 14th, 2001,
I went down to Steeda's showroom in Pompano
Beach with a nice little wad of cash that I had been saving for several
months and bought their G-Trac Stage 1 suspension kit. Today, I spent
about
four or five hours installing the springs and camber/caster plates.
The
adjustable rear swaybar and front strut tower brace should be installed
in the next couple of weeks. After finishing the spring upgrades, I
took the car across the street from my neighborhood and got a much needed
spongebath. Because of severe draught conditions in south Florida, getting
a good car wash is not easy nor cheap. The pictures you see I took immediately
after washing the car and doing some minor detailing. Enjoy!
