94 GT As president and founder of the California-based but nationwide club WickedStangs, Emilio Valdez has “offered up” his 1994 “GT-R 0001” as a club test mule. So far, the white with blue nose Mustang has been modified with a DSS 306 Pro bullet short block, Cobra intake, Windsor Jr. 1.94 heads, MAC equal-length headers and 75mm throttle body, Ford Racing X-303 cam, Crane Cams’ 1.6:1 roller rockers, Flowmaster 2-chamber mufflers, and Ford Racing 4.30 gears. “Looking at the pictures, you would assume it is a Cobra, except for the rear bumper saying Mustang GT.” Plans are already in the works to add a supercharger in the not-too-distant future, with the ultimate goal of competing in the NMRA’s Pure Street class.
