Pete's Supercharged V6 This is an update to my car that originally appeared last May 8th.
My car has changed a little over the past year. I removed the white rocker stripe and added a new metallic silver stripe to compliment the new silver Bullitt wheels (I got bored with the Chrome Cobra Rs).
I also removed the 3.8 badges and replaced them with 4.2 badges since I replaced the 3.8L with a 4.2L.
My interior has gained a few more satin MGW pieces, I added the Bullitt shifter trim ring and I replaced my A-pillar gauge mounting for the new cluster mounted piece. I never liked the gauges advertising that mods were made.
The Powerdyne makes about 11# with 30# injectors on the stock 4.2L. The original 3.8L was damaged on the dyno while being too aggressive with timing. So I replaced it with a 1998 4.2L. Its practically a bolt-on. The engine makes 290 RWHP and 300 RWT. Take-off GT exhaust and a MAC off-road are the limit of the exhaust mods. I still run the factory shorties headers. The car has the original 7.5 with a traction-lok and 3.73s. The car has run a best of 13.25 @ 105 on slicks so far with the 4.2L. That was in full street trim (full interior) and 1/3 tank of gas. The car was featured in the Dec. 2000 MM & FF, the July 2001 5.0 & Super Ford and will appear in a future issue of Hot Rod. The car is a lot of fun but I'm done as far as mods go. Hitting the 12s is my goal and I'm close.... Thanks MW!
