Mike and Jackie's 01
Bullit I don't miss my 1966 GT 390 Fairlane anymore, well maybe still a little. In comparison to the 2000 GT, well there is no comparison. Under the hood the Bullit has a modified 4.6 with twin 57mm bore throttle, a cast aluminum high rise intake manifold, larger air intake, and pulley underdrives, providing much more power. And the high flow exhaust sounds really cool. With the "C" pillar squared, the body lowered 3/4" and the 17-inch vintage wheels, it does look like a 60's muscle car. The rear end gears are a 3:27 ratio, lower than the normal 3:1 ratio making "off the line" performance much better. Besides all this the chassis has revalved Tokico shocks and struts, rear sway bars and subframe rail connectors for added rigidity. The Bremco
13 inch brakes in front provides stopping power, not to mention the
cool red calipers. The inside, with the special seats and Bullit badging,
it's way cool too!
