Edgar''s 1986 GT Mustang

Mods: First the engine is a crate GT-40 engine now has TFS heads with 1.72 roller rockers from FMS and O ring and arp studs, Edelbrock performer rpm, 750 sec holley carb,MSD, Mallory/ Accell 8.8 cables,timing retard box, March underdrive pulleys, 3 row radiator, Flex Fan and a FMS Billet damper.

Nitrous works 1" plate adj 130-225hp, holley 2 blue pumps w/-6 line and-8 line, Tank is sump, exhaust is Mac long tubes custom h-pipe 2.5, flowmasters 2 chambers and 2.5 Mac tailpipes. The T-5 is a Z rated that Edgar built himself with super alloy 2.95 gears, w/centerforce clutch, drive shaft loop, FMS DRive shaft, 4.10 pressicion geras, w/ repack and x clutch in traction lock, LPW rear end cover JR Megabite lower arms and air bags, subframe connectors, g load brace, rocker stiffeners, rear shock tower brace, S&W 6pt roll bar.

The intirior is stock w/ fuel pressure, oil, Vac, Tach w/ shift lite, water temperature, Hurst shifter w/ command T handle, FMS adjustable cable, sam biondo line lock, and the front end is from 93 Mustang GT.

The tires are 165 w/ 3.5 weld and 265 50 15 from the rear in street mode, for the track 26x10 15 from M/T et drags, the paint is Black cherry pearl w/ white stripes that Edgar istalled, The hood scoop is functional. Before the GT-40 heads were changed, in a hot day, best time w/ 150hp in 1/4 mile was 11.56 at 118.89mph. Edgar tested the car w/ new TFS wedge heads on the 1/8 mile track and on the motor ran 8.12 at 87 mph and just turn the engine at 5900 rpm, then w/ 150N20 car ran 7.26@97mph w/ 60 ft times of 1.50, so he knows the car is going to run low 11's in the 1/4 mile and hopping that w 190hp will run high 10's. All of these items are bolt on's.

Owner comments: My car started because my Capri RS was totalled in FEB 96, so when I settled with the insurance I bought a Mustang GT 1986. Everything that is on this car is from the Capri plus more stuff that I have added on the last 6 months. I have done everything myself except the paint job.
